Employment River Country Campground employees between 15 and 20 people (generally aged 16-25) during the summer each year. Our beginning wage is at the minimum set by the State of Michigan, which is currently $7.15 per hour, and will raise to $7.45 per hour on July 1st, 2008.
Many of our employees return to work for us each year. We regularly employ (for the summer) drivers, office personnel, and maintenance crew. After March 1st we will accept applications for the summer of 2008.
We will be hiring several people to work hauling canoes, doing site maintenance, and performing other duties related to the upkeep of a campground and its facilities. The work is physical and you will get dirty & sweaty. You must be able to work weekends. Hours vary each week, but you would be scheduled for approx 5-20 hours per week. The benefits (other than the wage) are being able to be outside, being part of an exciting team of people, and the satisfaction of doing a job well.
